What’s SPHC, SPHD, SPHE Automotive Stamping Hot Rolling?
All three grades are JIS G3131 standard hot rolled low-carbon steel, specially designed for automotive stamping & cold forming.
SPHCC——The first "S" stands for "Steel", the "P" for "Plate", the "H" for "Heat", and the "C" for "Commercial". Together, they represent general hot-rolled steel plates and steel strips.
SPHD——This indicates hot-rolled steel plates and steel strips for stamping purposes.
SPHE——This represents hot-rolled steel plates and steel strips for deep drawing.

The residual element contents in steel shall comply with the following requirements:
Cu ≤ 0.20%, Cr ≤ 0.15%, Ni ≤ 0.15%.
However, chemical analysis for these elements may be omitted if the supplier can guarantee that the residual contents of Cu, Cr and Ni in steel meet the above specified limits.
1. SPHC (Commercial Quality)
Feature: General forming & welding performance, stable toughness, cost-effective
Automotive Use: Simple stamped parts, auto brackets, chassis accessories, general structural components
Position: Basic universal automotive hot rolled stamping steel
2. SPHD (Drawing Quality)
Feature: Better ductility & stamping performance than SPHC, no cracking during medium deep drawing
Automotive Use: Auto inner structural parts, wheel rims, seat base parts, medium-difficulty stamping components
Position: Medium-grade automotive stamping steel
3. SPHE (Deep Drawing Quality)
Feature: Excellent deep-formability, ultra-high ductility, uniform texture, zero cracking for complex forming
Automotive Use: Complex auto thick stamping parts, automotive structural deep-drawn components, high-precision forming parts
Position: Top-grade hot rolled deep drawing steel for automotive industry
What’s SPHT1, SPHT2, SPHT3?
SPHT1, SPHT2,SPHT3 is Hot Rolled carbon steel strip for pipes and tubes.
The SPHT series complies with the Japanese standard JIS G3132. All of them are hot-rolled carbon steel strips, specifically designed for manufacturing automotive welded pipes. They do not belong to the sheet materials for stamping panels and are dedicated hot-rolled base materials for automotive pipe products.
SPHT1/SPHT2/SPHT3 are JIS standard hot rolled steel strips for automotive welded tubes.
SPHT1: For light load general vehicle pipelines
SPHT2: Standard chassis & medium-pressure auto tubes (best-selling grade)
SPHT3: Heavy-duty, complex bending critical automotive structural & exhaust pipes
What’s S355J0, S355JR, S355J2?
Non-alloy structural steels according to European standard - EN10025
